Loyd Dillon will take students on a journey through time covering ancient, classic traditional and modern furniture styles. The class will study pieces such as a 2,500-year-old Greek klismos chair, French, American and English styles and those of modern designers such as LeCorbusier, Mies van der Rohe, Charles & Ray Eames and Saarinen. At the end of the course, students will not only to be able to identify most styles but to also learn some of the fascinating history behind them.
